In view of the directions of the Honourable Supreme Court in SLP No. 24295 of 2006 dated 16/05/2007 and in Civil Appeal number 887 of 2009, dated 08/05/2009, ragging is completely banned.

The students admitted to CIMS are therefore directed to strictly desist from any kind of ragging in the college premises and hostel.

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee of the college works to protect the spirit of the students, create a healthy environment, and maintain harmony among students. The committee ensures the curbing of ragging through established policies, procedures, and practices.

Objectives

• To prevent and eradicate ragging in educational institutions by following regulations and imposing penalties.
• To maintain vigilance over ragging activities to prevent recurrence.
• To deal strictly with any reported incidents of ragging.
• To create a disciplined environment with zero tolerance towards ragging.

Redressal Mechanism

The Anti-Ragging Committee addresses complaints through both online and offline methods.

• Offline: Complaint forms are available with the Convenor of the Cell. Aggrieved parties must submit the form along with supporting documents, if any.
• Online: Staff and students can file complaints on the college website or email cimsantiragging2007@gmail.com.

Redressal Procedure

Any harassment complaints can be filed orally or in writing. The committee follows a structured inquiry process to address complaints, ensure fair hearings, and recommend appropriate penalties.

• Cancellation of admission from the college.
• Suspension from lectures and practicals.
• Withholding scholarships and other benefits.
• Debarring from exams, withholding results.
• Suspension or expulsion from the hostel and institution.
• Expulsion and debarring from admission to other institutions.
• Fine up to Rs. 25,000.
